Florida Institute of Technology is pleased to offer a 10 percent tuition reduction on select campus-based, off-site, and online degree programs through the Florida Tech EdAssist education alliance. Founded in 1958 as a part-time graduate school for "missile men" working at what is now Kennedy Space Center, Florida Tech is rooted in providing quality higher education to adult learners. As the university has grown—today a national, doctoral-granting research institute—so has our ability to offer practical, affordable career-enhancing degrees to students like you. EdAssist members are eligible to receive:

  • 10% tuition reduction for listed programs. 
  • Application fee waiver.

Please note: The tuition reduction is effective for enrollment in future terms only and will not be applied retroactively.

How to Apply

  1. First, choose your degree program. All applicable programs are listed on the "Programs" tab. You must choose one of these programs to qualify for the 10% EdAssist tuition reduction.
  2. Go to the Florida Tech application and create your Login ID and PIN. 
  3. Once logged in, select the appropriate application:
    • To apply for a Main Campus (Melbourne, FL) program, select Melb Graduate US Citizen.
    • To apply for a 16-week program offered through Extended Studies (including Virtual Campus), select Off-Campus and Onlnie Grad App.
    • To apply for an 8-week online program, go to floridatechonline.com. 
  4. In the Additional Information section of the application, enter "EdAssist" as your answer for the question, "How did you hear about Florida Tech?"
  5. After submitting your application, gather all required documents for admission, and submit them.

Upon Admission/Enrollment

Corporate Deferment Program

Any newly admitted or currently enrolled student whose employer will directly reimburse them for tuition cost at the end of each semester must complete and submit a Corporate Deferment Contract to Student Financial Services. Participation in the program allows the student to defer payment of the current semester's tuition balance for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date upon which final semester grades are posted. 

Learning Locations


The Florida Tech campus and Melbourne Graduate Center are located in the city of Melbourne, which is located about an hour southeast of Orlando and just a short drive from the Atlantic coast. Some of the university's off-campus locations are also located in Florida: FIT Eglin (Air Force Base), FIT Spaceport (Kennedy Space Center), FIT Orlando and FIT Lake Nona (Valencia College).

Online Options

All programs offered at the off-site locations listed above are also offered online through Florida Tech's Virtual Campus. Virtual Campus programs are taught in 16-week semesters. Florida Tech also partners with Bisk Education to make a variety of additional degree programs available to working adults online. Florida Tech Online programs are taught in 8-week semesters. Though they may be delivered in slightly different ways, all of Florida Tech's online programs are designed and taught by Florida Tech faculty to meet the highest educational standards. Undergraduate - All Options

Florida Tech's campus in Melbourne, FL does not offer undergraduate programs designed for adult learners; they are traditional, full-time, residential programs.

The B.S. in Logistics Management is a degree completion program offered at FIT Lake Nona (Valencia College), FIT St. Petersburg and FIT Eglin in Florida; FIT Hampton Roads and FIT Roanoke, Virginia; FIT Fort Dix, New Jersey; FIT Patuxent, Maryland; and FIT Whiteman, Missouri.

Florida Tech Online offers a variety of associate's and bachelor's degrees in liberal arts, criminal justice, management, psychology and business.

Graduate - Melbourne Campus

The following are full-time, resident programs taught in 16-week semesters at the university's Melbourne campus.

The following are part-time programs taught in 16-week semesters at the university's Bisk College of Business.

Graduate - Off-Site Locations

The following programs are available through Florida Tech's Department of Extended Studies. These are part-time programs taught in 16-week semesters. Please note that each program is not necessarily offered at each site. Click on the program of your choice, then navigate to the "Classes" tab. There, you will see the catalog information for your program of interest, including all available learning locations. 

Programs marked with an asterix (*) are also available online through the FIT Virtual Campus.

Graduate - Online

Florida Tech administers online degree programs through the FIT Virtual Campus (16-week semesters) and Florida Tech Online (8-week semesters).
